Our Impact

Each year we make an incredible impact on people and places in the South East.

Our local programmes and services are tailored to the needs of communities. We create projects and services that benefit both people and the wider environment.

In 2009-2010 we worked on 380 individual projects.

The impact of our work results in :

  • better local environments.
  • more people satisfied with the places where they live.
  • people more empowered to engage in local decision making,
  • people and organisations better equipped to connect with economic activity.
  • people behaving in ways which are healthier, more community-minded and more respectful of the natural environment.

We can measure our impact in various ways – for example area of land improved and amount of carbon saved, but what’s most important is how we change people’s lives in the places where they live and work.
